Food Sensitivity

McDonald's Canada is very aware of the challenges those with food sensitivities face and, where possible, develops new menu items that do not include unnecessary allergens.

In recognition of our ongoing commitment to food safety and elimination of common allergens in our products, McDonald's was the first quick service restaurant to win the "Partners in Anaphylaxis Safety" award from the Anaphylaxis Foundation of Canada for efforts to reduce the risk to customers including those with anaphylactic sensitivity to peanuts.

In 1970, we were the first company in our industry to provide our customers with detailed ingredient and nutrition information on all our core products through our Food Facts brochure, which is updated regularly. Today, you can find Food Facts in all of our restaurants or check out Food Facts using our on-line Nutrition Calculator.
