McDonald's is helping you learn more about our food by adding nutrition information on some of our packaging. You may have already seen nutrition information on Quarter Pounder with Cheese cartons as well as Hamburger and Cheeseburger wrappers.

You'll find the Nutrition Facts panel you're used to seeing on packaged goods you buy at the grocery store, plus a new McDonald's Nutrition Chart that takes five key nutrients and presents them in a different way.

What's the difference between the Nutrition Facts panel and McDonald's Nutrition Chart?
  • The McDonald's chart includes symbols for five key nutrients: calories, protein, fat, carbohydrates and sodium
  • The McDonald's chart presents a Daily Value percentage for calories based on a 2,000 calorie diet, which is an average guideline for energy intake
  • The McDonald's chart also presents a Daily Value percentage for protein (based on Dietary Reference Intake for macronutrients published by Health Canada)

At McDonald's, we're proud of our food. This is just one more way we're providing you with information about our products.

At McDonald's, we take a full disclosure approach to let you know exactly what you're eating. For more information to help with your food choices, please check out our Nutrition Calculator.
