Official Rules (the "Official Rules")

General Respecting Terms Used in these Official Rules
The Canadian Game is sponsored by McDonald’s Restaurants of Canada Limited (the “Sponsor”). The Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion may engage certain third parties to administer various aspects of the Canadian Game on its behalf and in these Official Rules, the term “Sponsor” includes those third parties. The Canadian Game is open only to Canadian residents who are eligible to participate in the Canadian Game. See Rule 2 below which describes who is, and who is not, eligible to participate in the Canadian Game. A person who is eligible to participate in the Canadian Game is referred to as a “Participant” in these Official Rules. A game piece (a “Game Piece”) is affixed to the specially marked packages identified in Rule 3B below. Two (2) game stamps (each a “Game Stamp”) are found on each Game Piece. In these Official Rules, the term “Code” means the 11-digit unique alpha-numeric code found on Game Stamps. As is described in these Official Rules, except in the case of Food Prizes (defined below), it is necessary for a Participant to have a Code to redeem a Prize. The term “Prize” refers generally to Prizes (Food Prizes and Non-Food Prizes) which are available to be won by Participants in the Canadian Game. The term “Food Prize” refers to a food item which is a Prize in the Canadian Game. The term “Non-Food Prize” refers to all Prizes, except Food Prizes, which are available to be won in the Canadian Game. The descriptions and other information and conditions applicable to Food Prizes and Non-Food Prizes appear in Rules 5 and 7 below in these Official Rules. The term “ARV” means the approximate retail value of the applicable Prize. The term “Online Redemption Site” refers to www.iwonatmcd.ca. Except as otherwise specifically stated in these Official Rules, all times mentioned in these Official Rules are Canadian Eastern Time (“ET”). Whether that time is Eastern Standard Time or Eastern Daylight Savings Time will depend on any applicable “time change” dates that occur during the Canadian Game. The term “Game Material” means any original Game Stamp (or Game Stamps), Code, any document such as the declaration and release (a “Declaration and Release”) and the Food Prize redemption form (the “Food Prize Redemption Form”) whose completion is required as part of the winner verification process for Non-Food Prizes and the Food Prizes respectively, and any other document or thing, which is required on the part of a Participant to complete a claim for a Prize in the Canadian Game. The Declaration and Release will contain, among other things, a declaration of eligibility and compliance with the Official Rules, a liability release, a publicity release and the Skill-Testing Question (defined below), which a claimant is required to correctly answer (without any assistance whether electronic, mechanical, or other). The period during which a Participant can play the Canadian Game is called the “Game Period”. An “instant winning” Game Stamp (an ‘“Instant WinGame Stamp’) is a single Game Stamp which potentially may win a Prize in the Canadian Game. A ‘“Collect and WinGame Stamp’ is a Game Stamp which is part of a potential Winning Combination of Game Stamps in the Canadian Game. The combination of “Collect and Win” Game Stamps which must be collected in order to form a potential winning combination for a Prize in the Canadian Game is called a “Winning Combination”. “Minor” means a person who is notof the age of majority in his/her Province/Territory of residence. The term “Game Entities” means, collectively, the Sponsor and Hasbro Canada Corp. The term “Prize Partners” means, collectively, Chrysler Canada Inc. (collectively called “EA SPORTS™”), Wal-Mart Canada Corp. (“Walmart®”), Hewlett-Packard (Canada) Co. (“Snapfish”), Delta Vacations and MLT Vacations (collectively called “Delta Vacations”). The term “Redemption Centre” means the organization, retained by the Sponsor, which is responsible for dealing with matters involved in the verification of applicable Prize claims, the redemption of verified winning “Instant Win” Game Stamps and verified Winning Combinations and, subject to these Official Rules, the fulfillment of Non-Food Prizes in the Canadian Game.

NOTE: BEFORE ANY PARTICIPANT WHO IS A POTENTIAL WINNER OF A PRIZE IN THE CANADIAN GAME CAN BE DECLARED A WINNER OF THE APPLICABLE PRIZE, SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES, HE/SHE (OR, IN THE CASE OF A POTENTIAL WINNER OF A NON-FOOD PRIZE WHO IS A MINOR, THAT MINOR’S PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN) FIRST MUST CORRECTLY ANSWER AN ARITHMETICAL SKILL-TESTING QUESTION (the “Skill-Testing Question”), WITHOUT ASSISTANCE OF ANY KIND, WHETHER ELECTRONIC, MECHANICAL OR OTHER

1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE CANADIAN GAME.

The Game Period begins at 12:01 a.m. (local time in each Province/Territory) on September 24, 2013 and is scheduled to end on October 28, 2013 (the “scheduled end date”) or while supplies remain of specially marked packaging items to which Game Pieces are affixed (see Rule 3B below). Note that the scheduled end date of October 28, 2013 is subject to a corresponding extension if the Canadian Game runs long in restaurants. To play the Canadian Game, a Participant must obtain Game Pieces in the manner(s) described below in these Official Rules (see Rule 3 below), and, subject to verification, collect a potential Winning Combination of Game Stamps, or get a single “Instant Win” Game Stamp, all as described below in these Official Rules.

See Rule 5 below for a list of the Prizes available to be won in the Canadian Game, and the chances of winning each such Prize, as of the start of the Game Period.

Persons who participate in the Canadian Game are subject to these Official Rules which are on display for review at participating McDonald’s restaurants in Canada and online with the English version at www.mcdonalds.ca/monopoly and the French version at www.mcdonalds.ca/monopoly_fr.

Official Rules and The Sponsor’s Decisions Bind Participants.

The Canadian Game is being conducted in Canada by the Sponsor in accordance with these Official Rules. By participating in the Canadian Game, each Participant, and if the Participant is a Minor, that Minor’s parent or legal guardian on behalf of the Minor, unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the Sponsor with respect to the Canadian Game including without limitation the meaning and application of these Official Rules, which decisions shall be final and binding with respect to all aspects of the Canadian Game.

2. WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO PLAY THE CANADIAN GAME.

Subject to the provisions of these Official Rules including, without limitation, the restrictions on eligibility set out below in this Rule 2, the Canadian Game is open onlyto residents of Canada, and there is no age limit to play the Canadian Game.

3. HOW TO OBTAIN A GAME BOARD, HOW TO OBTAIN A GAME PIECE BEARING GAME STAMPS, THE CANADIAN GAME SCHEDULE, AND TRANSFERS OF GAME STAMPS.

NOTE: NO PURCHASE OF A McDONALD’S FOOD OR OTHER PRODUCT is required to enter the Canadian Game, and making such a purchase will not increase or affect a Participant’s chances of winning a Prize in the Canadian Game.

  1. How to Get a Game Board, and Information Concerning Game Pieces and Game Stamps.

A Participant can obtain an official Game board (a “Game Board”) for the Canadian Game (a) while supplies last, at any participating McDonald’s restaurant in Canada; (b) online at www.mcdonalds.ca/monopoly and www.mcdonalds.ca/monopoly_fr, until the Canadian Game ends. If a Participant goes to www.mcdonalds.ca/monopoly or www.mcdonalds.ca/monopoly_fr to obtain a Game Board, he/she must print out the Game Board at his/her sole cost from the applicable website; and (c) at the sole discretion of the Sponsor, in one or more regional markets in Canada, via direct mail, or newspaper insert, or otherwise. A Game Board is not required to play the Canadian Game.

As noted above, each Game Piece consists of two (2) Game Stamps which are affixed to the Game Piece. Each Game Stamp contains a Code which, in the case of redemption of a Non-Food Prize, a Participant must use if he/she wishes to redeem such a Prize – see Rule 6 below for details. Game Pieces can be obtained, while supplies last, on specially marked packages to which Game Pieces are affixed, or a Participant can get a Game Piece without purchase of a food item. See Rule 3B which follows for the list of specially marked packages to which Game Pieces are affixed and Rule 3C which follows for information about how to obtain a Game Piece without making a food item purchase.

  2. How to Get a Game Piece at a McDonald's® Restaurant.

A Participant can get a Game Piece by visiting a participating McDonald’s restaurant in Canada during the Game Period and purchasing one of the food items contained in specially marked packages, while supplies last. One (1) Game Piece is affixed to specially marked medium and large Hot Brewed Coffee; medium and large Hot McCafé® Beverages (Tea, Mocha, Latte, Cappuccino, Americano and Deluxe Hot Chocolate); medium and large Soft Drinks; medium and large Triple Thick Milkshake®; single Big Mac® sandwich; Double Big Mac® sandwich; Angus Third Pounder Deluxe sandwich; Angus Third Pounder Bacon & Cheese sandwich; Angus Third Pounder Mushroom & Swiss sandwich; single Filet-O-Fish® sandwich; Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese® sandwich; Double Quarter Pounder® BLT sandwich; 10-piece Chicken McNuggets®; large French Fries; Egg McMuffin® sandwich, Sausage ‘n Egg McMuffin® sandwich (excludes Sausage McMuffin® sandwich), Bacon ‘n Egg McMuffin® sandwich and Hash Browns. As the Canadian Game progresses, some forms of the specially marked packages referred to above may run out before others and may not be replenished. See the following Note for the planned Canadian Game schedule.

Note: It is planned that Game Pieces will be available in participating McDonald’s restaurants in Canada on specially marked packages beginning on or about September 24, 2013, and ending on or about October 28, 2013. However, Game Pieces that remain in participating McDonald's restaurants or distribution centres in Canada on October 28, 2013, will be distributed to the public until they are gone, at which point the Canadian Game will end. As a result, as the Canadian Game progresses, some participating McDonald’s restaurants may complete distribution of their supply of Game Pieces before others. Similarly, Game Pieces may be depleted on some forms of packaging before others. Although a participating McDonald’s restaurant in Canada may have exhausted its supply of packaging containing Game Pieces, it will continue to honour Game Stamps for McDonald’s Food Prizes that are redeemed in accordance with these Official Rules until the Food Prize redemption deadline. See Rule 6 for applicable redemption deadlines.

  1. How to Get a Game Piece Without Making a Product Purchase.

A Participant can request a Game Piece, without buying a food item at a participating McDonald’s restaurant, by mailing a postage-paid, self-addressed stamped envelope (a “Request”) bearing sufficient return postage and bearing on its exterior the Participant’s return mailing address (first and last name, street address, city/town, Province/Territory, country, and postal code), legibly printed by the Participant manually in ink to: McDonald’s 2013 Canadian Game, Game Piece Request, P.O. Box 214, Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, E2L 3Y2. DO NOT SEND ANY POTENTIAL WINNING GAME MATERIAL(S), COMMENTS OR QUESTIONS TO THIS ADDRESS. Both the mailing and return addresses on the exterior envelope must be legibly hand-printed in ink and the return address on that exterior envelope MUST be the same as the address which appears on the enclosed self-addressed stamped envelope or the Request will NOT be honoured. Envelopes with no return address on the outside will NOT be honoured. Requests that are sent in business-reply envelopes, that utilize address labels or stickers, that are photocopied, hand-stamped, computer-generated or otherwise mechanically produced or reproduced, that are not addressed manually in ink, that fail in any way to comply with the requirements set out above in this sub-paragraph, or that are not mailed separately in separate outer envelopes bearing sufficient postage will NOT be honoured. While supplies last, one (1) Game Piece [consisting of two (2) Game Stamps] will be mailed in response to each Request that complies with these requirements. Requests must be postmarked no later than October 28, 2013 and received at the above address no later than November 4, 2013.

  2. Transfers.

The transfer of any Game Material, including without limitation, a Game Stamp, by an ineligible person to an eligible person is strictly prohibited. The transfer by a Participant of any Game Material, including without limitation, a Game Stamp, to any other person is strictly prohibited except as follows: (i) a Minor must transfer Game Stamps to their parent/legal guardian to redeem a Prize (except a Food Prize) on the Minor’s behalf; (ii) if a Participant (who is not a Minor) does not have immediate Internet access, the Participant may: (a) choose to enquire in their locality about where and how that access can be obtained (e.g., a public library), or (b) ask a trusted person who does have Internet access and has a valid email address and who is at least thirteen (13) years of age or older, to redeem a potential winning “Instant Win” Game Stamp(s) or a potential Winning Combination on that Participant’s behalf. Any such person to whom the transfer has been made must provide the Participant’s name and address information (and not their own name and address information) for such a Prize claim. In such a case, any Prize which is awarded will be sent to the Participant at the address provided during the Online Prize Claim Process [as defined in Rule 6B(iii)(a) below]. Neither the Sponsor nor Hasbro Canada Corp., the Prize Partners, nor any other person or entity shall be liable or responsible for any failure on the part of a Participant to correctly follow in full the redemption instructions and procedures contained in or provided pursuant to these Official Rules; and (iii) if a Participant who is the potential winner of a Prize wishes to transfer the Prize or the related potential winning ”Instant Win” Game Stamp, or potential Winning Combination, as the case may be, to another person, that transfer must be authorized in writing by the Redemption Centre before the transfer is made. Such authorization may be granted or withheld in the Sponsor’s sole discretion. A Participant must make any request for such authorization in writing, must sign that request, and must mail the written and signed request to the Redemption Centre.

4. HOW TO PLAY THE CANADIAN GAME.

Game Stamps: To play the Canadian Game, first obtain a Game Piece (see Rule 3 above). Then carefully peel each Game Stamp from its backing on the Game Piece, or from the specially marked package to which the Game Piece is affixed, to determine if a Game Stamp is an “Instant Win” Game Stamp which potentially may win a Prize, or is a “Collect and Win” Game Stamp which is part of a potential Winning Combination in the Canadian Game.

  1. Canadian Game: Single Game Stamp “Instant Win” Prizes. If an “Instant Win” Game Stamp identifies a Prize which is an “Instant Win” Prize in the Canadian Game (see Rule 5A and B), the Participant who possesses that Game Stamp is the potential winner of that Prize, subject to verification of the potential winning “Instant Win” Game Stamp and of the Participant’s compliance with these Official Rules, including correctly answering the Skill-Testing Question, without any assistance whether electronic, mechanical, or other (see Rule 6 “HOW TO REDEEM/CLAIM A FOOD PRIZE, AN “INSTANT WIN” PRIZE AND A “COLLECT and WIN” PRIZE: DETAILS AND DEADLINES”).

  2. Canadian Game: MONOPOLY®“Collect and Win” Prizes. “Collect and Win” Game Stamps describe the name of a MONOPOLY® street property or railroad that corresponds to a street property or railroad on the Game Board. A Participant must collect and combine all of the original “Collect and Win” Game Stamps of the same colour group (or, if applicable, all of the railway “Collect and Win” Game Stamps) necessary to form a potential Winning Combination. The property names and Game Stamp numbers of the “Collect and Win” Game Stamps which must be collected to form a potential Winning Combination can be found on the Game Board, on individual “Collect and Win” Game Stamps, and in Rule 5C of these Official Rules. If a Participant collects all of the “Collect and Win” Game Stamps required to complete a property (or railroad) set for a Winning Combination, that Participant is the potential winner of the Prize identified on the applicable “Collect and Win” Game Stamps, on the Game Board and in Rule 5C of these Official Rules, subject to verification of the “Collect and Win” Game Stamps, of the potential Winning Combination, and of the Participant’s compliance with these Official Rules, including correctly answering the Skill-Testing Question, without any assistance whether electronic, mechanical, or other (see Rule 6 “HOW TO REDEEM/CLAIM A FOOD PRIZE, AN “INSTANT” WIN PRIZE, AND A “COLLECT and WIN” PRIZE: DETAILS AND DEADLINES”). The Sponsor will not honour and is not responsible for any combination of Game Stamps which is incomplete or any purported game stamp(s) which is/are copies of any genuine original Game Stamp.

5. CANADIAN GAME PRIZES: PRIZES AND PRIZE LIMITATIONS, SEEDING OF PRIZES, AND APPROXIMATE CHANCES OF WINNING (the “Odds”).

The actual trip value will vary with the point of departure (and destination selected by the Prize winner) as well as with any fluctuations in air travel costs at the time a trip is booked. The stated ARV provides a range of values, reflecting the lowest and the highest value of those Prizes based upon different destinations from which a Prize winner has available to choose. All Game Materials including the properly completed Declaration and Release [see Rule 6A(iv)] required to complete a claim for a Non-Food Prize must be received by the Redemption Centre no later than December 2, 2013.

    1. Game Stamps Submitted with Game Materials. Claiming any Prize at the Online Redemption Site will require a Participant to submit online the Code which appears on the applicable “Instant Win” Game Stamp, or the Code which appears on each of the applicable “Collect and Win” Game Stamps which form a complete potential Winning Combination. When claiming a Prize requires a Participant to submit the Game Stamp(s) with the Declaration and Release and any other Game Materials, the Game Stamps must be original, and must comply with the provisions of these Official Rules.

    2. Game Materials: Claims for Non-Food Prizes must be supported by certain Game Materials. The Game Materials which are required to be submitted to the Redemption Centre to support a particular Prize claim and redemption are set out below and vary according to the value and nature of the Prize being claimed and/or redeemed and may include a Declaration and Release.

Note: In the case of certain Prize claims, the Redemption Centre may ask a Participant to provide documentation as the Redemption Centre proceeds with the verification process. The nature and extent of such documentation shall be as the Redemption Centre determines in its sole discretion and is required for the Redemption Centre to confirm the Participant’s eligibility and compliance with the Official Rules governing the Canadian Game. Without limitation, that documentation may involve proof of employment history and/or a form of government issued photo identification (e.g. valid driver’s license). By claiming a Prize, the applicable Participant agrees to cooperate fully and promptly with the Redemption Centre in that regard and agrees to provide such documentation or other things as the Redemption Centre requests. Further, if the Sponsor so elects, in addition to providing the completed Declaration and Release, a potential Prize winner may be required to submit to, and by playing the Canadian Game agrees to fully cooperate with the Sponsor in conducting, a confidential background check conducted by or through the Redemption Centre to help the Sponsor ensure that the use of such Participant in advertising or publicity by the Sponsor will not bring the Sponsor or a Prize Partner into public disrepute, contempt, scandal or ridicule or reflect unfavourably on the Canadian Game or the Sponsor or on a Prize Partner, as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion.

Note: In the case of Prizes which include travel, the Redemption Centre will provide the travel Prize winner with forms of guest releases (individually, a “Guest Release”). The Guest Release will include a liability and publicity release which must be executed properly by each guest. A verified travel Prize winner MUST have each guest properly complete, sign and return a Guest Release to the Sponsor within the time limit specified for that purpose in the sole discretion of the Sponsor. When applicable, a potential Prize winner must return to the Sponsor, in accordance with instructions which the Sponsor will provide to that potential Prize winner, an original, properly completed and signed Guest Release for each guest as a part of the documents required by the Sponsor. 2. ARVs and Currency Values. All ARVs and dollar values in these Official Rules are stated in Canadian Dollars.

  2. How to Redeem a Prize

    1. Food Prize Claims. Potential winning “Instant Win” Game Stamps for McDonald’s food items that are Food Prizes in the Canadian Game may be redeemed at the counter or at the Drive-Thru at any participating McDonald’s restaurant in Canada. Before placing a food order, a Participant should inform a McDonald’s restaurant counter person or, if applicable, a Drive-Thru McDonald’s person, that he/she wishes to redeem a Food Prize. The McDonald’s counter or Drive-Thru person, as applicable, will provide the Participant with a Food Prize Redemption Form which contains a Skill-Testing Question. The Participant then should complete the Food Prize Redemption Form legibly, and in full, including the Participant’s signature and correct answer to the Skill-Testing Question (arrived at independently by the Participant without assistance of any kind, whether electronic, mechanical, or other) which is printed on the Food Prize Redemption Form. Then, the Participant should present and give the following to the McDonald’s counter or Drive-Thru person for verification and redemption for the applicable Food Prize: the Participant’s completed Food Prize Redemption Form (including the Participant’s correct answer to the Skill-Testing Question) and the Participant’s potential winning Food Prize Game Stamp. Food Prizes may be redeemed only during the hours the menu item is served and only on a future visit. “Instant Win” Game Stamps for Food Prizes are not valid in combination with any other offer or discount. Only one (1) Food Prize redemption is permitted per Participant per visit to a participating McDonald’s restaurant. All visits to the same restaurant within a two-hour period are deemed to constitute a single visit. Some participating McDonald’s restaurants may not offer a particular food item which is a Food Prize in the Canadian Game, or for some other reason that item may not be available. Whether for the reasons just stated, or for some other reason, participating McDonald’s restaurants reserve the right to substitute a menu item of equivalent or greater retail value for the Food Prize specified on the “Instant Win” Game Stamp for a Food Prize. Some participating McDonald’s restaurants may run out of their supply of specially marked packages to which Game Pieces are affixed before the Canadian Game officially ends, but they will continue to honor Food Prize Game Stamps that are redeemed in accordance with these Official Rules.

As noted above, the deadline for claiming a Food Prize is November 18, 2013.

    2. “Instant Win” $5 and $50 McDonald’s® Card Claims: IF A PARTICIPANT WISHES TO REDEEM AN “INSTANT WIN” GAME STAMP FOR A $5 OR $50 McDONALD’S® CARD THE PARTICIPANT SHOULD BE SURE TO KEEP THE POTENTIAL WINNING ”INSTANT WIN” GAME STAMP BECAUSE THE CODE ON THAT GAME STAMP IS REQUIRED IN ORDER TO START THE REDEMPTION PROCESS FOR THIS PRIZE. To claim this Prize, a Participant with a single “Instant Win” Game Stamp that indicates a $5 or $50 McDonald’s® Card Prize first must visit a participating McDonald’s restaurant in Canada and ask to see the McDonald’s restaurant manager to obtain a blank McDonald’s® Card. That McDonald’s® Card will not be activated, but will have instructions informing the Participant how to proceed to redeem that McDonald’s® Card Prize. The Participant will need Internet access and a valid email address as well as the blank McDonald’s® Card and the Participant’s potential winning Game Stamp in order to start to redeem that Prize at the Online Redemption Site (www.iwonatmcd.ca). Once at the Online Redemption Site, a potential winner: must confirm that he/she has reached the age of majority in his/her Province/Territory of residence, or is the parent/legal guardian of a Minor potential winner by clicking on the appropriate box; must enter his/her email address and then click “Instant Win” to identify the type of Game Stamp which he/she is redeeming; must enter the 11-digit Code(s) which appears on the applicable potential winning Game Stamp(s); must correctly enter the security code; must read the terms and conditions of accepting a Prize and then must click on the box to indicate his/her acceptance of those terms and conditions; must complete the personal information required: email address, first and last name, mailing address and daytime and evening telephone numbers; and must correctly answer the Skill-Testing Question (without assistance of any kind, whether electronic, mechanical, or other). The Participant then must enter the number which appears on the blank McDonald’s® Card (see above how to obtain such a card) in order to activate that Card. Once the Participant is verified to be a winner of this Prize, the McDonald’s®Card the Participant used to redeem the Prize will be activated within 24 hours, after which time the Prize amount indicated on the applicable “Instant Win” Game Stamp will be available on that McDonald’s® Card for use at a participating McDonald’s restaurant in Canada. To check the balance on the McDonald’s® Card Prize, follow the instructions which appear on the back of that card. The deadline for claiming this Prize is 11:59 p.m. ET on November 18, 2013. For information about redeeming all McDonald’s® Card Prizes other than “Instant Win” Prizes, see Rule 6B(iii)(a) or (c) below.

    3. Non-Food Prize Claims. A potential winner of a Non-Food Prize (or in the case of a potential Non-Food Prize winner who is a Minor, his/her parent or legal guardian) must follow the instructions on the applicable ”Instant Win” or “Collect and Win” Game Stamp to begin the Prize claim process by 11:59 p.m. ET on November 18, 2013, and must ensure that any required Game Materials are received by the Redemption Centre by December 2, 2013. A potential winner may go to the Online Redemption Site (www.iwonatmcd.ca), or, if a toll-free number appears on the Game Stamp, use that toll-free number to obtain the instructions necessary to start to claim a Non-Food Prize. The potential winner should retain the applicable potential winning Game Stamp(s) as the potential winner may need to submit those Game Stamp(s) with his/her Prize claim.

      1. Online Prize Claim Method: If a potential Prize winner elects to complete a Prize claim at the Online Redemption Site, he/she should retain the potential winning Game Stamp(s) as they are needed to enter a claim at the Online Redemption Site. Once at the Online Redemption Site, a potential winner: must confirm that he/she has reached the age of majority in his/her Province/Territory of residence or is the parent/legal guardian of a Minor potential winner by clicking on the appropriate box; must enter his/her email address and identify the type of Game Stamp and identify the type of Game Stamp which he/she is redeeming; must correctly enter the 11-digit Code which appears on each applicable potential winning Game Stamp; must correctly enter the security code; must read the terms and conditions of accepting a Prize and then must click on the box to indicate his/her acceptance of those terms and conditions; must complete the personal information required: email address, first and last name, and mailing address and daytime and evening telephone numbers; and, must correctly answer the Skill-Testing Question (without assistance of any kind, whether electronic, mechanical, or other). Below in these Official Rules, these steps are called the (“Online Prize Claim Process”).

      2. Online High Value ($600+) Prize Claim Method: For any Prize valued at $600 or higher which a Participant wishes to begin to claim at the Online Redemption Site, in addition to following the Online Prize Claim Process identified in 6B(iii)(a) above, the Participant will be asked to print the Declaration and Release which the Participant can download from that site. The Participant first must read and then properly complete and sign the Declaration and Release and mail the original completed and signed Declaration and Release ( using Canadian registered mail; postal insurance is advised), along with the applicable original Game Stamp(s), to the Redemption Centre for receipt by December 2, 2013.

Note: If a potential Prize winner is unable to print the Declaration and Release from the Online Redemption Site, he/she should click on the link “Click here, if you do not have access to a printer.” – and the Declaration and Release will be mailed to the Participant at the mailing address he/she provided in the course of the Online Prize Claim Process.

      1. Toll-Free Call Under $600 Prize Value Claim Method: If a potential winning Game Stamp has a toll-free number printed on it, the Participant can elect to start the Prize claim process by making a call for information to that toll-free number. In that telephone call, a recorded message from the Redemption Centre will instruct the caller to mail the Participant’s potential winning “Instant Win” or “Collect and Win” Game Stamp(s) to the address that will be provided to the potential winner during the toll-free call. The Participant should address that mailing to the Redemption Centre at the address provided in the information call, should use Canadian registered mail (postal insurance is advised), and MUST INCLUDE a piece of paper on which the Participant provides the following information: Participant’s complete first name and last name, mailing address, confirmation of having reached the age of majority in his/her Province/Territory of residence, a daytime and evening telephone number and email address (if available), and the Participant’s correct answer to the Skill-Testing Question ((completed without assistance of any kind, whether electronic, mechanical, or other) which the Redemption Centre provided to the Participant during the information call when the potential Prize winner called the toll-free number. Once the mailed Prize claim is verified as being a successful Prize claim, the Redemption Centre will mail the applicable Prize to the winning Participant within 6-8 weeks.

      2. Toll-Free Call $600+ Prize Value Claim Method: When a Prize is valued at or over $600 and the potential Prize winner calls the toll-free number found on the Game Stamp, he/she will be directed to leave a message containing the information described by the Redemption Centre in that call. When the Redemption Centre receives that information, it will contact the potential Prize winner by telephone and/or send the Declaration and Release to the potential Prize winner, by posted mail or by email, at the address indicated in the message he/she left for the Redemption Centre. The Redemption Centre also will provide the potential Prize winner with such other documents as are required in the case of a particular Prize [e.g., a travel Prize will require Guest Release(s)].

Subject to these Official Rules, when the Redemption Centre receives the completed Declaration and Release, the Redemption Centre will begin the verification process described in these Official Rules.

In the case of a Prize valued at $600 or more, it is planned that the Redemption Centre will inform the applicable Participant whether he/she is, or is not, a verified Prize winner after December 2, 2013. If the Participant is verified as a Prize winner, the Redemption Centre will award the Prize. If the Participant is disqualified for any reason (including, without limitation, having failed to answer, or having failed to answer correctly, the Skill-Testing Question), the Participant will forfeit the applicable Prize, will have no claim against the Sponsor, any Prize Partner or any other person respecting the forfeited Prize or the Canadian Game and the applicable Prize will not be awarded in the Canadian Game.

If in the Sponsor’s sole judgment, a travel Prize winner does not live “close” to the designated Delta-serviced airport, the Sponsor may designate another airport “close” to the travel Prize winner’s residence as the airport from which the travel Prize winner and his/her guest(s) must travel to and from the designated Delta-serviced airport. If the travel Prize winner resides one hundred and fifty (150) kilometres or less from the designated Delta-serviced airport, in its sole discretion the Sponsor may opt to provide the travel Prize winner with a travel allowance in an amount determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion, in lieu of air travel to enable the travel Prize winner and guest(s) to get to and from that designated Delta-serviced airport. Any and all costs, fees, and expenses not expressly stated in the Prize description as being included in the Prize are the sole responsibility of the Prize winner including, without limitation and subject to the provisions of these Official Rules, the cost of return transportation for a Prize winner and his/her guest(s) between the Prize winner’s residence and the airport of departure as designated by the Sponsor or the designated Delta-serviced airport, whichever is applicable, and the cost of alcoholic beverages. Any difference between the approximate retail value and the actual value of the travel Prize won by a winner will not be awarded. No insurance is provided as part of the Prize, and obtaining any insurance, such as but not limited to, travel insurance, health, accident or medical insurance, and property loss or damage insurance is the sole responsibility and at the sole cost of the Prize winner and the Prize winner’s guest(s). Travel and other arrangements will be determined by the Sponsor or the applicable Prize Partner in its/their sole discretion. If the travel Prize winner is a Minor, the Minor winner’s guest must be his/her parent/legal guardian; and if a Prize winner’s guest is a Minor in his/her Province/Territory of residence, that Minor guest must be the Prize winner’s child or the Prize winner must be the legal guardian of or have legal custody of that Minor guest. The travel Prize winner and guest(s) must travel together on the same itinerary and are solely responsible for having [and bearing the cost of obtaining including any related notarization cost or costs] any required travel-related documents (including without limitation, valid government-issued photo ID and/or any required passport or visa and any requisite parental consent document or documents) prior to departure as well as fulfilling any/all travel and security requirements. The Sponsor or the applicable Prize Partner, as the case may be, reserves the right in its sole discretion to designate all flight/travel particulars and route or routes (as the case may be). Failure to complete the travel portion of the Prize (or any portion of the Prize) does not relieve the Prize winner of the tax obligations, if any, associated with winning the travel Prize. Flight schedules are subject to change without notice. Neither the Sponsor nor the applicable Prize Partner will be liable for any missed opportunities or expenses incurred as a consequence of flight cancellation/delay or ground transportation delay. The travel Prize winner may be required to provide a current valid major credit card at time of hotel check-in to secure the cost of any and all fees and expenses payable or incurred by the travel Prize winner which are not expressly included in the Prize description. Restrictions and/or blackout dates may apply, including the following dates when Prize travel is not permitted: November 21-27, 2013, December 18-31, 2013, March 30-April 19, 2014, November 22-28, 2014 and December 18-31, 2014. Reservations are based on availability. Changes to reservations, once made, are not permitted. Checked luggage fees may apply. Hotel taxes and fees may apply and are the sole responsibility of the Prize winner. Once a guest’s identity is determined and communicated to the Sponsor, that guest cannot be changed without the express consent of the Sponsor, which may be withheld for any reason in the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Each travel Prize winner (and each guest) agrees to maintain their dress, behavior and comportment in accordance with all applicable laws and generally accepted social practices in connection with the Prize travel and participation in any Prize-related activity. Prize winners understand and agree that the Sponsor and/or the Prize Partner, as the case may be, has the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify and remove a Prize winner or any guest from any travel or activity at any time if that winner or guest’s behaviour at any point is uncooperative, disruptive, or may or does cause damage to person, property, or to the reputation of the Sponsor and/or the Prize Partner, or otherwise violates the policies of the Sponsor and/or the Prize Partner. The Prize winner is solely responsible for the dress, behaviour and comportment of his/her children and guests. The ARV of each of these travel Prizes is calculated using Pearson International Airport in Toronto as the example point of departure; the actual travel value/cost will vary with the actual point of departure (and destination) as well as with any fluctuations in air travel costs at the time a trip is booked. See below for travel ARV ranges. See Rule 6 for Prize claim instructions and see below for travel Prize descriptions and an abbreviated summary of travel Prize terms and conditions.

8. GENERAL AND PRIZE RESTRICTIONS.

PRIZES WHICH ARE NOT CLAIMED OR WHICH ARE FORFEITED WILL NOT BE AWARDED IN THE CANADIAN GAME. No cash alternative or substitution of any non-monetary Prize will be provided (other than as may be expressly provided in the Prize descriptions in these Official Rules), except that the Sponsor, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to substitute a Prize of equal or greater value if any non-monetary Prize cannot be awarded as described due to unavailability or for any other reason. Prizes will be delivered only to an address in Canada. Any taxes on or connected with any Prize, and the reporting consequences thereof, are solely the responsibility of the Prize winners. If required by law, the Sponsor reserves the right to withhold and remit to the appropriate taxing authorities the amount of any taxes due. Any expenses which are applicable to any Prize, and which are not expressly included in the description of that Prize in these Official Rules, are the sole responsibility of the winner of that Prize. If, for any reason, a verified Prize winner cannot or does not accept a Prize as described in these Official Rules, then that Prize will be forfeited in its entirety and will not be awarded in the Canadian Game. If a winner of a Non-Food Prize is a Minor in his/her Province/Territory of residence, the applicable Prize will be awarded in the name of that Winner’s parent/legal guardian, who must do all things (including correctly answering the Skill-Testing Question without assistance of any kind, whether electronic, mechanical, or other), execute all documents and agree to all obligations and undertakings of a potential (or actual) Prize winner, both on behalf of himself/herself and the Minor, or the Prize will be forfeited in its entirety and will not be awarded in the Canadian Game.

Please note that shipping/courier companies may be unable to deliver to a Post Office Box. Participants must return their completed Game Materials using Canadian Postal Service registered mail or, if provided, using the pre-paid envelope provided in the redemption package with the Declaration and Release. The mailing or other transmission of Game Materials [including, without limitation, a Declaration and Release and any related Game Stamp(s)], or the use of the pre-paid envelope provided in the redemption package, does NOT constitute proof of actual delivery of the Game Materials to the Redemption Centre and does NOT constitute proof of actual receipt by the Redemption Centre of the Game Materials. When Participants send Game Materials by registered mail, or in the pre-paid envelope provided in the redemption package, as the case may be, in accordance with the requirements contained in this paragraph, it is strongly recommended that they obtain insurance for the Game Materials. Prior to mailing Game Materials (or, if applicable, returning Game Materials using the pre-paid envelope provided in the redemption package), Participants should photocopy for their records all Game Materials being submitted, including without limitation the signed and completed Declaration and Release and any potential winning Game Stamp(s).

Each Participant acknowledges and agrees that the decisions of the Sponsor and the Redemption Centre shall be final, binding and conclusive in all matters relating to the Canadian Game, including, without limitation, determinations regarding the validity, state or status of Game Stamps submitted for verification. Only Game Stamps with 2013 Canadian Game artwork will be accepted for verification. Any person attempting in any way to forge or alter any Game Stamps or to create materials in an apparent attempt to defraud or mislead the Sponsor in any way in connection with the Canadian Game will be prosecuted to the fullest extent permitted under the law. For all other Prizes which are claimed at the Online Redemption Site, the potential winner will be deemed to be the Participant whose name and address was provided by the Participant at the Online Redemption Site during the Online Prize Claim Process.

When these Official Rules require a potential Prize winner (or in the case of a Minor, such Minor’s parent or legal guardian) to properly sign and return a Declaration and Release or any Game Materials, and such person fails or refuses to properly sign and return the applicable document or Game Materials by the deadline set out in these Official Rules for receipt by the Redemption Centre of the Declaration and Release or Game Materials; or if the Prize is declined; or if the Declaration and Release or Game Materials is/are returned to the Redemption Centre as being unclaimed or undeliverable; or if the potential Prize winner is ineligible; or if the potential Prize winner does not correctly answer or fails or refuses to answer the Skill-Testing Question, then such potential Prize winner will be disqualified, in which case he/she will forfeit his/her Prize and will have no further claim against the Sponsor or any other person, firm or corporation in respect of or to the Canadian Game or of or to the Prize to which he/she otherwise might have been entitled, and any such Prize will not be awarded in the Canadian Game. If a Prize winner makes any false statement in any document related to the Canadian Game, the winner will be required to promptly return to the Sponsor upon demand the Prize(s) or, at the Sponsor’s option, the cash equivalent of the Prize(s) based on the ARV as stated in these Official Rules.

The Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.
