Beef, Chicken and Fish FAQsWe answer your questions about our beef, chicken and fish.
|
Absolutely not. When you order a McDonald’s hamburger, it is prepared just for you, customized with your choice of condiments before it’s served.
Despite the myths out there, our meat is very real! McDonald’s Canada uses only 100% Canadian, CFIA inspected beef to make our burger patties. High quality standards also apply to our chicken, fish and pork.
Because we serve so many people at McDonald’s Canada each day, we are able to buy in bulk, and pass the value along to you. This enables us to offer our customers the best prices on good, quality products.
Our beef patties are made with only 100% pure Canadian beef and sprinkled with salt and pepper at the restaurant during cooking. That’s it. No additives, fillers or binding agents. Each patty is formed by specialized equipment that shapes the beef.
We don’t use any binding ingredients. Our burger patties are made from 100% pure Canadian beef, with no additives or fillers.
Our burger patties are just 100% pure Canadian beef. Nothing is added – no additives or fillers. The restaurants use a double-sided grill called a “clamshell” to grill the patties, and no extra fat is added.
Our beef patties are frozen instantly, after the beef has been ground, to ensure the best quality and flavour is preserved. They are then transported in sealed, temperature-controlled trucks.
This is untrue. McDonald’s Canada uses only Canadian beef in our burgers. This email hoax has been circulating for a number of years - get the real story at http://www.canadianbeef.info/ca/en/fs/mcdonalds.
No matter what your favourite burger is, when you buy a McDonald's Canada burger you are supporting beef producers from this country. These men and women work tirelessly with our supply chain partners to deliver consistent, quality products at every restaurant.
Chicken McNuggets® are made with seasoned white chicken breast meat, lightly coated in a tempura batter to ensure that they are crispy on the outside, and juicy and tender in the inside. They are cooked in a Canola oil blend.
The only meat used in McDonald’s Chicken McNuggets® is seasoned white chicken breast. The white meat is minced before being shaped into nuggets, and then coated with a specially seasoned batter at our trusted suppliers.
We use Alaskan Pollock caught in the cold, deep waters of the Bering Sea off Alaska. Once caught, the fish is filleted, deboned and frozen on board the ship to assure quality.
Once caught, the fish is immediately inspected, skinned, deboned, cut into filets and quick frozen into blocks on board the ship. Then, the blocks are cut into square portions and inspected again before being breaded, packed frozen and sealed for shipment to our restaurants.
