Marc-André Fleury is an NHL All-Star goaltender, Stanley Cup champion and a gold medalist in men’s hockey at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games. Marc-André held the distinction of being drafted first overall in the 2003 NHL Draft by the Pittsburgh Penguins. He debuted in the 2003-2004 season as the youngest goaltender in the NHL at just 18 years of age, and has continued to build an impressive list of accomplishments ever since, both with the NHL and international play with Team Canada.
Marc-André is known by his nickname “Flower”, derived from the English translation of his last name.

How important is your role as a McDonald’s Grassroots Hockey Pro?
I like supporting minor hockey as it gives kids an opportunity to be active and meet other kids. Also, I believe hockey teaches good life lessons: hard work, teamwork and discipline.
